Hamburg/Frankfurt, 7 July 2026 – redRobin has appointed Volker Bitzer as Account Director in its Hamburg office. Since joining the specialist financial communications agency in April, Bitzer has been advising primarily new clients in the insurance, finance and renewable energy sectors.

Communications professional with 30 years of experience
Bitzer brings more than 30 years of experience in senior communications roles across both corporate and agency environments. He has spent much of his career in the financial services industry, including roles with integrated financial services provider Dr. Klein and insurance broker Aon. He has also gained extensive PR and communications experience in the IT sector, politics and the start-up world. Among other roles, he was a member of the founding team that launched appliance manufacturer Dyson in Germany.

Bitzer began his career with a newspaper traineeship in his hometown of Bremen. Prior to that, he completed a degree in European Finance and Accounting in Bremen and Leeds, northern England, graduating with a BA Honours. “In the extraordinary times we are living through, the communications challenges facing companies, organisations and leaders are becoming ever more complex,” says Volker Bitzer. “At redRobin, I have the opportunity to help our clients navigate these challenges.
